Call Of duty is a fun game don't get me wrong, but today i want to hear from you guys. What are your favorite PS3 or PC video games? Why are they your favorite games? Are you more of a person who appreciates the smaller thing that add up? Or do you appreciate the larger thing's and don't care about small things. Are you into plot's and storylines like assassin's creed? or are you in to ripping people's head's of in game's like god of war. The other day i got my father to play Half-Life against me, effectively ending any resistance from my dad about violent video game's having a bad effect on me. It wasn't he who gave me the problem's about it in the first place but he never really helped me either. Now hopefully i will have an ally when my mom messes with me when i have friends over or help out with the overall disapproval of the video game's.  We had a blast playing each other, unfortunately he had to take it off of his computer because he thought it made the computer crash. Half-Life is one of those early controversial video game's that caught heat after the Jonesboro massacre and later on the Columbine massacre, although it didn't catch nearly as much heat as Grand theft Auto or Doom. The series is a very successful raising the bar for all first person shooter's. Valve really paved the way for all to come, they truly changed video games forever.To anyone good with computer's if you could explain to me why the computer crashed i could start playing my dad again and that would be ton's of fun. The video game to my right is a program that the army uses to train their soldier's for quite a few different things. It's used to simulate real combat situation's, It's used to help soldier's out with their aim, and it helps people to  It's the video game that every boy wishes they had. Something so realistic it is used by the U.S. Army to train their troops! The guns that they are holding have to be reloaded, have safety's and the flash light even works! Their is no video game that can come place to comparing to this. But even these types of video game's take a long term exposure to train people how to kill, and this is just part of a whole program used to teach soldiers how to kill. This also has a defined bad guy, and penalties for shooting the innocent. Gun safety is also practiced to prevent an inexperienced person with a firearm from accidentally injuring someone. This video game the most expensive, real, potent game that exist on it's own is still not enough to get a child to become a killer. I can assure you i will bring this up the next time i'm in an argument about video games.

Over the weekend i met up with a friend who was anti CoD. We had an argument about weather or not video games affected people to the point where they would go on a massacre. I brought up that while they do seem to make people more aggressive, it's not enough to make someone shoot up a school. He countered with some media supported BS about how other massacre's were by nerd's that were enveloped by video games. I tried bringing up that those nerd's also had the majority of their problem's at home with their family or a mental illness that would lead to kid's to do such horrible things. But he kept cutting me off about how study's have shown that kid's are much more aggressive after video games. I had no room to argue at that point, but i could definitely argue that as a gamer i have never taken my physical aggression out on other people within 5 minutes of me playing a violent video game. I tried arguing my point but apparently i was not enough of a no lifer to have major effects happen on me.  No one got anywhere and we changed the subject.

After googling random things today in class i came upon an interesting article. What so interesting about this article? It's about video games. After letting it sit i thought this article could hold some truth... After awhile of getting into a game i get more and more angry about when i die before a kill streak, and eventually if i die at all. I have put a dent in my metal garbage can more then once.  It seems like the more i play CoD the more yelling and me getting pissed happens. Yeah it get's intense but it's just a game nothing to get super upset about, but when i'm in the zone it's a little bit harder for me to tell myself this and just chill. Eventually a few minuets after i play i calm down to a PC/Pre Call of Duty mode. My dad has had to come up and calm me down a few times because i was either stomping, yelling, or beating up my brother, their is no need to tell you that Call of Duty gets intense.  It's ironic i'd read this article after I, and some friends, confirmed we would have a Call of Duty marathon tonight. I just thought i should share this with you all. This won't stop or even slow down my CoD, watch out garbage can here i come!

Today i was looking up how to raise my kill to death ratio in chemistry. My teacher checked my screen and gave me the strangest look of "are you crazy? what is that? and i am a little afraid of you." mashed into one funny face. I had to explain my self, that it was for a school project, still unconvinced i assured him I wasn't going to go on a killing spree. I told him it was for a video game and that it was part of a school project. He then just continued on. Hahah, i love my teacher's.
